In 1998 an unusual experiment took place in 6 of Boston's hospitals.
The purpose was to compare between 3 groups of similar health background patients (Heart Disease):
A - Those whom other people prayed for their heath but didn't know it
B - Those whom no one was praying for them
C - Those whom other people prayed for their heath and they knew it
The prayers were Christians from 3 different churches, far away from the hospitals.
The prayers were given with the names of the patients and asked to specifically pray for "a successful surgery and no complications" to all of them.
In 2006 the results were published on "American heart journal":
There was no difference between group A and group B (didn't know vs no pray).
There was a difference between group A and group C, but opposite effect.
group C (know that prayed for) suffered from more complications after the surgery (maybe caused by a stress to satisfy the results).
