An orangutan named "Sandra" was kept in a zoo in Argentina for 20 years, but when lawyers for animal rights noticed her highly intelligent behavior, court decided to free her by the right of freedom, as for human.
Sandra was moved to Florida's Center for Great Apes. This is a precedent for apes to be legally treated less like animals and more like people.
