In 1965 six boys between 13 and 16 ran away from school and stole a boat from the island of Tonga heading to an unknown adventure.
Unluckily, a storm cast them away from their route and they landed after 8 days on a deserted island called "Ata".
In a contradiction to what we might think after reading "Lord of the Flies", the six boys managed their day to day on the island alone amazingly.
They improvised a source for fresh water, grew a vegetables garden, and helped each other to survive by healing injuries as well as they could.
15 months later, an Australian fisherman named Peter Warner passed by with his boat and rescued them. But, bad luck again, the owner of the boat they have stole did not compromised and they were imprisoned.
Peter Warner came to the rescue again and bailed them out.
Nowadays, as free people the boys and Peter still keep in touch.
