Who did you call SHORT?

It is common knowledge that Napoléon Bonaparte had big dreams but small body... or is it?

Many people believe that Napoleon was much shorter then average. Even British newspapers mentioned him as a short tempered small man and he was nicknamed "Little Boney in a strong fit".

In fact, Napoleon's real height was around 1.70, and the misconception caused probably by measure difference between French and British "inches".

Being surrounded by tall and strong bodyguards doesn't help of course.
