During the 80's, an American fast food chain named A&W released a new Hamburger which supposed to be the killer of McDonalds' famous 1/4 pound Hamburger.
It was bigger - 1/3 pound of meat, tastier - by tasting tests, and cheaper, but it failed.
Only after the company held customer focus groups they understood that many American felt overcharged because they believed 1/3 is less than 1/4...
